First Impressions

I'm finding London to be sort of an anomaly. History intertwines with modern day. Modern architecture overpowering the hundreds even thousands of years of history. It really sets me back; almost off putting.

Some people told me London was going to be like New York City. It is true in some instances. For me, it lacks the electricity New York has; the hustle and bustle. However, I will remain open and continue to explore but, purely based off of first impressions, I don't feel any connection here.

P.S. I genuinely hate my current hostel. None of my roommates are friendly, no kitchen to use forcing you to buy food which is quite expensive, and not located anywhere near central London. It actually is not in a good (safe) section of town. Perhaps I've let my dissatisfaction with my accommodations effect my experience. For the rest of my stay, I will be changing to a different hostel as well as staying with a local via couchsurfing.
