All Eyez on Me

There is no moment of solitude in public. Privacy is a thing of the past. Everywhere I turn there are eyes on me. Some curious, some friendly, some inviting, some not.

It is a curious thought to look upon someone new for the first time. Someone who looks different and talks differently than you. I'm sure the eyes in the cars that pass me are wondering, "What is he doing here? What's his story?"

It has a debilitating power to make one feel alone and isolated whilst remaining in public space. I ask myself, "Is this what my friends, any friends who have felt isolated or discriminated against, felt?" The juxtaposition of isolation yet never actually being alone.

Simply trying to understand the human condition...
